What a useful retail survey needs to communicate
A useful survey records more than dimensions. Before measuring, I try to understand circulation, fixed elements, existing furniture and the points where a future layout is most likely to meet a constraint.
Photographs need an order. Wide views explain the space; closer images record junctions, services, finishes and details that may affect drawings, procurement or production.
The aim is for someone who was not present to understand the site clearly enough to continue the next stage with fewer assumptions and more precise questions.
